“ came here for the first time for Sunday brunch with my family for my cousin's 21st birthday. The food was okay, but you're really there for the entertainment. The brunch came with bottomless mimosas and they continuously walked around making sure your glass was never empty. I made the mistake with only bringing 10 one dollar bills because you'll be tipping throughout the show so bring a lot! It's pretty loud in there so I would recommend if you're not used to that, bring some ear plugs. ”
“ O my! What a blast!! We came in for a bachelorette and we were not disappointed! Such a fun time! Definitely recommend!! ”
“ Came to Lips for the first time for a bachelorette party and it was the best time!! All the queens were so nice, provided great service, were so talented, and made sure everyone had a great time! Unfortunately, the food and drinks were just mid. The mimosas were not super strong, mostly juice. Several members of my party said the dishes they ordered were just ok or not good at all. ”
“ Who doesn't like drag brunch?? Love this experience, I went to Florida and had to try this SD location and it was beyond my expectations! The food was ok, service was great but the ambiance was the star! If you wanna a brunch party and a drag show! Definitely recommend Lips SD VERDICT: I WILL COME BACK ”
“ We had a bunch of us in town for an event and had a little free time before we flew out the next day so we decided to go see a drag show and Lips was recommended to us by someone local. We had a fun time, the food is included in your ticket price and is a really good deal for what you get. The tickets are a great price compared to a lot of shows I have been to near my area (Seattle area.) I even got to keep my pink cup! Do plan for a longer night because the dancers are the waitresses so they serve the food before the show even starts. The show starts about an hour after you get in there. ”
“ Been here for drag brunch a couple of times now and it never disappoints! It is entertaining from beginning to end. The queens are stunning, campy, & hilarious. The food is delicious. The brunch comes with bottomless mimosas, bloody mary's, and champagne refills. Who is giving Lips anything less than 5 stars?! Thank you always, ladies. Tip: - Come early-- there is a parking lot but if will get filled up. - Bring cash-- they can break your bills and give you ones. Have fun, friends!! ”
“ It's fun. It's hysterical. It's flippin expensive. Food is serviceable. It's good but there are issues. When it's served it's just kinda thrown at you. They are jammin hard and trying to get it done but do not expect 4-star food service. The show is amazing and the atmos is right on. My pasta came with bread so hard and cold it could not be eaten. The shrimp tacos were actually good but came with one tortilla. Stupid. The staff is super nice and they know how to work the room but it's all in good fun. 280 dollars for five people with very few drinks + the the dollar bills for the performers so over $300. Spendy but a nice time every once in a long while. ”
“ Came here with a group of girls on a bachelorette trip. The bachelorette wanted to attend a drag show on our trip. Was greeted with a nice gentleman, stopped by the bar to grab a drink, then headed to our table. The place is cute and dazzling. Our hostess was VaVa Voom. Love her! The show was great and fun! The queens definitely know how to get a party started and work a crowd! ”
“ I love it here, I love the decor it's so extravagant and flashy , just puts you into a whole other world I don't want to leave it! Drinks were made to perfection and consistent, yummy, and has a generous kick ;) I love how they displayed the variety of color in their drinks. Food was good to me , I enjoyed it. The show was spectacular! I love the energy in the atmosphere, everyone was talented and true baddies. I had such a fun time and can't wait to come back for a brunch Their service was so genuine and conscious of others, very attentive and helpful. AND super fun! ”
“ This place is top-tier for fun, entertainment, divas & the food is really good too! We went to the Gospel brunch (later seating, usually at 130pm vs the 930am seating) and had a blast! There's plenty of parking in their little corner of El Cajon Blvd. You have to call to make rez & it's highly recommended so they have an accurate head count. It's about ~$43 a person, which comes with an entree from a pre-fixed menu & UNLIMITED mimosas, bloody marys & champagne. That price point is so great! As mentioned, the food was really good too. Had the chicken & waffles and them waffles were elite! Came with about 4-5 generous pieces of breaded chicken tenders. They do start you off with some homemade muffins and everyone at the table loved those. There are other drinks that you can purchase besides the ones that come with the packages. The cocktails were all like ~$14 each. The place is actually pretty small, but they arrange the tables well so you don't recognize how packed it gets. Have your dollar bills ready cause the performers will be coming around to collect! They did such an awesome job I was happy, willing and ready to spend a lil sum sum. Don't worry, if you didn't come with ones, they have a money changer going around. The only thing I'd change is how long they keep the food on the table. I get it, they want everyone's undivided attention for the show, but I wanted to snack whilst getting entertained and drinking... Maybe provide chips, popcorn or something while the show's on? Just a suggestion. Really love the atmosphere they've created at Lips. Everyone loves their job and it shows through their service and performances. I wana try one of their dinner shows. Bet it's just as good, if not better. Loooved our time at Lips. ”
